Harper Collins to book new London HQ

NEWS BULLETIN – Harper Collins move to Baby Shard. Harper Collins as part of the newly created News Corporation – including the Sun, the Times, Sunday Times, Dow Jones and Harper Collins – will begin the move to the plush building to the east of the Shard in summer 2014. Harper Collins the publisher of JRR Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, was previously rumored to of launched a search for an 80,000 sq ft headquarters in Hammersmith, W6. Harper Collins at present they occupy 100,000 sq ft at 177-85 Fulham Palace Road.

Niche west London agent Frost Meadowcroft says about 121,000 sq ft of office deals in W6 have been completed so far this year. There Is now just 320,000 sq ft of available grade A space.

Director Shaun Wolfe said: “Hammersmith has a short supply of quality space and demand is high, bringing better result on secondary stock.”
